Landline not working properly

When I dial out it makes the right noises as usual but the number does not ring . Why ?

Really sorry to hear you're having trouble with your landline.

 

I've run diagnostics on your line and picked up a fault with the network in your area. Our network team has been informed and will try and get the line back up and running within the next 4 hours.

I have the same issue as when I dial from my landline the number dials through but after that the line seems not to be working.

I would appreciate if someone can look into this.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your landline too.

 

I've run diagnostics on your line and everything is looking healthy on the network. Have you tried another handset in the socket? This is just to make sure the equipment isn't causing the fault.

Thanks Josh for your reply.

When I call from my mobile to the landline I can hear the ring but when Pick up the landline there is no tone/voice.

I am afraid I don't have a spare phone to check. Is there another way around it?

Thanks for the response, to test your handset you can also take yours to an alternate line to plug it in and check, if that's possible? 

 

If not, we can still arrange for a member of the team to come and take a closer look but there would be a risk of there being a charge for the appointment only if the problem is found to be with your equipment.
