My home landline has no dial tone and the phone is saying check phone line. Have phoned Virgin and an engineer is booked for Friday 10th February in the afternoon. That is a week to wait and far too long to be without a landline. Not very happy.
Problem was fixed on Friday and we have our landline back. However it was far too long to wait for an engineer and it was only a 10 minute job because our line had been disconnected when an engineer came to fix the same problem with our next door neighbour's line. It seems logical that when a line is disconnected the engineer does a check that all the lines are connected before leaving the box.
