I am really frustrated. The landline has been dead for a week, it was crackling and then stopped working. The engineer who came yesterday, checked everything, there was a signal in the box outside but nothing in the house, said that it looks like a rewiring job which will not happen for 6 WEEKS. Would talk to his supervisor if it can be brought forward. I do expect Virgin to credit me for the number of weeks without a phone. Never had this problem with BT. Goodness knows how many calls have been made and gone to voicemail, can't even redirect the number to my mobile. Not a happy bunny at all right now.
Welcome to the Community, I'm very sorry to learn about the delay in getting the network team out to take a closer look at the problems you're experiencing at the moment.
With these situations, specialist engineers are usually required which is why it can take longer than a standard service technician. That being said, I apologise for the inconvenience this is causing, as it's really not something we want.
We'd love to hear how it goes and will be here should you need any assistance moving forward.
We have had three engineers come out but tonight still no landline about 5 weeks in total. It works after the engineers come and then stops. Only positive at least virgin have identified a fault rather than keep pretending to fix it.
Spent ages this morning and this afternoon on my mobile talking to support, customer services and technical teams regarding the landline. The engineer is coming out on 3rd May which is almost 6/7 weeks wait, so I asked for my calls to be redirected to my mobile until the landline is fixed. The redirect was finally sorted but not without a few problems which Rob in the technical support resolved. He was great, my thanks to him. Now all I have to do is wait, patiently, until 3rd May.
