I have tested your line from here and I'm unable to find any issues so before I arrange for a technician can I confirm whether you have tried another handset in the Virgin Media socket to rule out any equipment fault?
No, we haven't changed anything. When we dial the home number, it sounds like it's ringing but doesn't actually ring or get through. It goes to voicemail and I also left a voicemail but when I go to my voicemail via the home phone, it is empty.
Do you have a spare phone you can try? I would recommend removing everything from the sockets in the house and trying a different phone, if there's still no dial tone then I'll need to arrange for one of our engineers to check your line.
