Buzz on the line

We switched to Virgin 5 days ago. Not a happy experience so far. We finally got the telephone line working today but there is an annoying buzz on the line and an occasional metallic clang. I have unplugged and re-plugged the phone sockets at the point where the line comes into the house and on the extensions with no success. I have tried it with and without DSL filters which make no difference. there are no faults on the line.

Re: Buzz on the line

Hi Graphene,

Welcome to the Community Forum and to Virgin Media. I'm sorry to hear that you are already experiencing a problem with your landline.

I have checked into this for you and can see that you have already been in touch with us and arranged an engineer visit so that we can get this fixed for you.

Just a side note here--on your Virgin Media landline, you do not require the DSL filters, so please make sure to remove this.

Please let us know how the appointment goes for you.

Kind regards,
