For somewhat strange reason... just come back from hols...
I find both phones dead... I can ring our home phones via mobile phones and hear phone ring but both landline phones not sounding out rings nor hear any dial tones..
I suspected it that it could be the roadworks down the road have something to do with it but I doubt it.
I am wondering whether it could be the line or somewhere as I had tried changing the phones but still get same dead results..
I tried to get to the VM online chat but it is closed so not sure what to do even though I ran checks but still get dead lines.
Thanks, J0hn, for the advice but it is not much cop as it asks you to press the button so by the time, my mother press 1 or 0 as advised by someone on the mobile phone.. it cuts off.. !!!
Rather talk to someone on VM online chat as I am deaf and it is a catch 22 at the moment here so better wait until tomorrow morning 1!

Hi there bdbaplayer,
Thanks for your post and sorry to hear about the trouble you've been having with the landline service.
I've had a look and I can see that we've arranged for an engineer to visit.
Let me know if there is anything more that I can assist with.

Sorted !! The engineer said that the junction box in one of the roads had something that popped out of its place so he replaced that..All working now..!! Thanks to VM !!!!
Thanks so much for getting back to us regarding this bdbaplayer!
Really glad to hear that this has been sorted.
Please let me know if I can help with anything more.
Take care and have a lovely day,
