0345 v 0845

We pay extra to have free calls to 0845 numbers, but business all seem to be changing to 0345 instead. How does this affect us? Are we charged for 0345 numbers or are these automatically included in our bundle? And are we still able to call 0845 for free?

Can't find anything about this on the website or T&Cs.

All 03 numbers are charged the same as 01 and 02 numbers so are inclusive whenever they are for your phone plan. For instance if you have Talk Weekends then 03 numbers are inclusive on Saturday and Sunday, but chargeable Monday to Friday.

If you're paying extra for the ability to call 0845, you'll have this until you choose to remove it from your phone.

Re: 0345 v 0845

03 numbers must be treated the same as 01 & 02 standard landlines under OFCOM rules. So if you have inclusive calls to 01 & 02 numbers on your package, the same rules apply to 03. Most customer services numbers have also been forced onto 03 numbers as part of the changes, the exceptions being some financial organisations.

What you have there is Talk 08 £2 (£2 a month), which allows up to 250 mins of calls to 0845 numbers to be made a month for free. It is not actually part of Big Bang, so can be removed.

Re: 0345 v 0845

Thanks for the prompt replies, looks like we are ok to be using the new 0345 numbers then and I guess we may as well drop the extra payment for 0845 numbers, as almost every 0845 number we now call has a recorded message saying that they are changing to 0345

Re: 0345 v 0845

Actually quite difficult to see what we are paying for the 0845 service,

we have:

Big Bang Bundle
Talk 08 2
Talk Mobile
Talk Unlimited
Fully Itemised Billing
TV Size: L
TiVo Monthly Fee
VIVID 150 Optical Fibre
Big Bang Bundle total £52.24

I'm fairly sure we originally requested the 0845 numbers as an added service for an extra cost per month, but does the above mean that it is now just part of the bundle we have. Is there any point in getting rid of the service? Would the bundle price be reduced without it?
Thanks again in advance.
