virgin mobile not connecting to network in france!

Had virgin pay monthly phones since March, previously on orange\ee. Came to France today and our phones haven't connected to a network! Previously never had any probs on our old network when coming to france. Tried turning roaming on\turning phones on and off with no luck. Cannot call virgin for help! Please help.

Hi bobhorton,

 

did you set up roaming on your accounts before you left the UK?

 

Log into your Virgin Mobile account then click on  the "Plan and device" tab.

Go to "Manage my services" > "Roaming" needs to be set to ON & "International call barring" needs to be set to OFF

If they are not, make the change by moving the "switch" in your account.
(Click the other side of the rectangle box).

 

If you have to change the settings, allow time for your account to update then reboot your phone.
(Virgin advise that this update may take upto 24 or longer from abroad to come into effect).

Thanks that's great, only problem is I have forgot my password to log in and when I click 'forgot password' they text me a code! I can't receive any texts as I've got no service signal, is there any way they can email me the 'forgot password code' or what else can I do?thanks

Hi bobhorton,

 

If you can borrow a phone or use a payphone to call Virgin Mobile.

Their UK support line number is: +447953 967 967 they should be able to activate roaming on your account.

It's good to see that you have had some help in this already and I have been into the account and I can confirm that all of your provisions to ude data in the EU should be working now.
