just taken out a rolling contract for my teenager who has an iphone 6 and he has used almost all of his 2gb data allowance within 1 week! However, he has been at home for most of that time and I thought that I had set his phone to automatically connect to my home broadband, but obviously not. I looked at his phone and there is a green tick next to my broadband provider and also 3 or 4 lines showing, so do I need to do anything else for him to connect to it? I called Virgin and they have just turned off data usage for now.
this sounds a bit like stating the obvious. But if your sons mobile data allowance is now turned off, if he can connect to the internet at home then you must be successfully connected to your home broadband.
