unlocking virgin phone at end of contract

I have renewed my contract and taken a new phone,but cannot get anywhere to unlock old phone,they say virgin have stopped it being unlocked.Surely this phone is now mine to do with whatever I wish

Some of the handset Virgin provide are already unlocked which means that you don't need an unlock code!

What did the Virgin advisor mean by the phone has been stopped?

If you require the unlock code then these are normally change around £15 - £16 per code.

Hi,

when you say "anywhere" have you actually tried Virgin?

You need to call Virgin mobile customer services on 789 or 0345 6000 789 from any other phone.

I believe that there is a charge of £15.32
