stop receiving texts

I could not receive any text messages suddenly. It was working ok until a couple of weeks ago. I have not made any change on my account or anything. I can make phone calls, so I do not think it is a network issue. I am very confused.

I would be grateful if you could let me have any of your suggestion or advice.

check that your Message Centre Number is correct in the settings on your device: +447958879890

Hi kaman,

 

you don't say what phone you are using.

So generally....on your device.. Go to "Messages" > "Message settings > SMS Service Centre > +447958879890

That is the number that should be thereSmiley Happy

If you can try the SIM card in a dire rent virgin phone, if it still refuses to send text, the sim car will need replacing, if it sends texts they do a factory reset on your phone, should work then

I am sorry to read that you haven't been able to text recently, I cans ee that you have had some sound advice and was wondering if the Sim card was working in another phone, whether you have been able to phone in or texting has come back?

Dear Ben, thank you very much.

The text may be ok now, as I have received a message from Virgin's promotion message, although I am not sure what happened earlier, as not only text but also phone calls did seem to have been lost (not received).

I cannot check the SIM, as I do not have another device to test, but I think it may be ok.

I will see how it goes. Thanks so much again.
