am I correct in thinking that your HTC SIM is micro size and your new Sony requires nano size?
Unless you fancy trimming your SIM down you'll need to give the Virgin mobile team a call on 789 or 0345 6000 789 from any other phone & request a new SIM of the correct size.
You just have to pay for postage: 99p standard or £2.99 for next day.
If when you receive your new SIM it's one of the 3 in 1 "push out to size" type.
Make sure that all your contacts are saved in the phone's memory on your HTC.
Then first pop the SIM out to micro size, put it in your HTC and copy your contacts to the SIM memory.
Then take it out and pop it out to nano size and put it in your new Sony.
