Sounds really basic, but do you know that you are in an area with a signal? Can you confirm that with another phone (preferably Virgin, if not EE should be OK)

Hi,argy,network checker says excellent service indoor and out,one of of the reasons I changed to ee,unfortunately can't check other ee sims or virgin as I was on Tesco mobile,non of my neighbours on ee either,tried the turn it off sim out flight mode on off malarkey still no network emergency calls only,seems quite a few on here with same problem,back to to Tesco for me.
Hi ben,all's good now cheers,had to phone customer service,it was the sim it didn't activate when I set the phone up,they did it while I stayed online took two minutes,very impressed,cheers for all replies Phil.
