Just spent all day setting up my wife's phone and I have the same(ish) problem. Need to be really brutal to get it to answer, it's so difficult, and time consuming that the call often terminates before we're able to answer - not happy!
I know what it should be but if you slide up to answer phone call it cancels call Then if you slide down some times it connects to call then other times impossible to answer call This is rubbish wish I had not got this phone for my wifed
OK, after a car journey with nothing else to do I think we've cracked it! Firstly nothing happens quickly - take your time answering. When it rings and the screen starts flashing press and hold your finger on the circle then when the green bar finally arrives at the BOTTOM of the screen drag your finger down to that bar. Seems to me a slow process, but it does seem to work.
I now need to workout why the "smart gesture" for answering seems to turn itself on and off. I'd like it to stay off!
Thanks for taking the time to post on the Forum about the Kazam Tornado. Your contribution to the Forum is really appreciated. The helpful tip you've posted advising how to bypass the slide to answer on the handset will, no doubt, be useful for other Community users out there.

I have had phone two days operational. Received weeks ago through Virgin very inexpensive But how ridiculous cannot answer my phone WHO DESIGNED THIS? I have had Virgin ringing me dozens of times so I can PRACTISE trying to answer my KAZAM TORNADO 348. Some JOKE
.So frustrating; today I did not manage to answer any calls. Wanted to change phone but it is outside 14 days customer satisfaction. Despite Virgin knowing phone has only been in use two days. Sickening, but, any other phone is at least double the price. My old mate Blackberry - no battery life left -Virgin said they had no Blackberrys.
Anyway, if anyone can wave a magic wand and make these stupid KAZAM disappear you will be saving future customers from frustration. Shame on Virgin maybe they should disappear too.
