data roaming abroad

Hello,

 

I have an Iphone 5c running IOS8. I am currently in Portugal. I can text and make calls. I am conected to the partner MOS.

 

I purchased a 10mb data package two days ago. I got a text confirming it was purchased. A status check shows it is available and the 30 day clock is ticking.

 

Mobile data is enabled

Data roaming is enabled.

European Internet is on

I have reset my network settings since I purchased (suggested elsewhere)

 

I am not seeing a data connection. I cannot use the internet.

 

Any ideas please?

My bad, the partner is MEO, but I have also tried forcing connection to NOS and vodafone P.

Also tried in different locations including up a mountain ;-)

 

Since writing this I have found a load of this type of problem, going back many months, so it appears that this is a regular problem ;-( I will just have to accept that it won't work, as the Virgin standard answer seems to be "it must be the carrier at the otehr end" or in my case all three carriers (go figure!!!!)

 

So I suppose my question now is how do I get a refund?
