can't send email from my Apple devices

I can no longer send emails from either my iPad or iPhone.  As with previous posts - it just stopped working.  I've been onto various forums, and advice was mainly about the ports being used.  The Virgin support site said to use 465, but I get a time out message. Other forums suggest using port 587, but when I try this, the verification process takes ages before it also displays a time out message.  Like many other people, I use my email on the go, and this is very inconvenient.  Can anyone give me the definitive email settings to access my blueyonder.co.uk account

The definitve settings for Blueyonder email addresses are located here. Are these the settings you have currently?

Hi. I had used the settings as recommended by Virgin. I managed to fix the problem by resetting the network settings. Settings->General->Reset->Reset Network Settings.
