Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried apn settings for all the providers but nothing works. I'll call virgin again, if they can't sort it I'll just cancel my rolling contract and go else where. It's annoying because until the sim swap I was very happy with Virgin mobile

Since receiving my new SIM I had been without mobile data - there were no APN details in the phone and when I tried to enter any they failed to save. 2 hours on the phone with VM including the technical team got nowhere.
I think the key thing is that the new Authentication type is CHAP - the old SIM used PAP which refuse to save, and of course I was trying to enter my old APN details!
BTW: I merged the WEB APN with the MMS APN and that worked fine, and looked similar to my old APN but with the crucial difference of Authentication type.

Hopefully my sim should show up in the morning, but feeling positive will get it working after reading a few posts on this thread. Crazy that every Virgin technical support has been giving the wrong APN details out obviously going on the old sims? Could anyone else confirm please there APN settings on new sims? Was trying save under pap, basically everything they asked me to. Cheers
