I have recently received my sim swap from virgin. After installing new sim my mobile data doesn't work and I can't use the internet, unless on Wi-Fi. Do I need new APN settings? When I arranged my replacement sim I entered my imie number but it wasn't recognised, is this the problem? for Lumia 950
I never put any number in mine so guess its not that, I can't save any apn settings but they appear on old sim when reinsert, can you see if the same happens for you? I've had numerous calls and troubleshooting last 2 days, they are sending replacement sim.
Not a problem about the IEMI not working when you ordered.
When I inserted my new SIM (Android phone) the old APN's were deleted, near enough straight away I got text's saying new settings on the way & then settings installed - all automatically. Did you not get any of theses?.
The ones I've now got, are completely different to the ones with the old SIM.
Thanks for the reply. After installing sim I got a confirmation text saying everything was set up. I can make/recieve calls ok just no mobile data connection. I've tried the link you posted but still no success. Looks like I'll have to call virgin mobile help team 🙄 🤔 have installed old sim but it won't let me view apn settings
You can try any APN settings you wish, they won't save. Not holding hope for my new sim to be any different so ready to cancel as in 14 days. Any APN settings I did only showed when putting the original sim back in. Something that Virgin couldn't work out why
