Youtube buffers on my Mobile and Slow slow slow Internet!

Hi - just wondered if anyone else is having the same problems as me? For the last few weeks my Noika Lumia 610 has suddenly stopped working properly - i can no longer watch any youtube clips as it just keeps buffering (it is fine as soon as i switch to wifi though) also images take forever to load up on the screen and it takes at least 30 minutes if i want to send more than one picture in an email.

Strange I am also getting calls from virgin asking if i am ready to renew my mobile account (not good timing as this is getting beyond a joke and another provider has got to be better i am thinking.)

Anyone have any ideas - i have done the usual taking the battery out and even putting the phone back to its original system settings.

Hi Chris,

 

could you have exceeded Virgin's "acceptable use policy".

Once you have used 3.5GB the service becomes throttled by Virgin until the end of the calendar month:

Many thanks I appreciate the reply. I thought I had unlimited internet (thats certainly what I am paying for) and dont think I can have reached a limit yet as I never have before. But now you have mentioned it I will give the helpline a call and see if they can check my usuage this month.

Hi Chris,

 

try looking in the settings on your device.

My phone displays total monthly mobile data usage for the last four months.

As well as the usage by apps for the past 30 day cycle.
