While on the virgin train traveling down to London .I noticed the T-Mobile costumers could use their hotspot to access the train wifi for free . Why can't Virgin mobile users on a Virgin train do the same ?
I guess because despite both companies using the Virgin name, they have nothing to do with each other. Virgin Trains are owned by a joint venture between Virgin and Stagecoach whereas Virgin Media is owned by Liberty Global, which is a multinational telecom and television company.
There have been so many licensing deals and takeovers on the Virgin name that many of the so-called Virgin companies are owned by completely separate organisations.
