Yes, I understand that part, but is it ONLY for people with virgin mobile, as vm want me to use my super hub as a hot spot, is it not, therefore , fair that I can use the hot spots when out and about. I don,t need a phone contract, I am a low user and use FreedomPop , free calls and texts.

Regarding the WiFi scheme Virgin Media aim to launch in the near future (like BT FON): Firmware updates are required to get the hubs to broadcast the WiFi hotspots. Currently only the Superhub 2 has trial firmware for it. Last time around it was tested, it had too many bugs and was pulled. However, the hub 2 once again has trial firmware in the selected trial area (Reading.) They'll be testing its effects and uptake in the trial area of the WiFi scheme. If all goes well, it will roll out nation wide and eventually all Superhubs will have new firmware which supports the WiFi sharing. So you should see MANY Virgin Media hotspots about the UK in the not too distant future.
