Why does the VM Wifi app have a min. £5 top-up limit?

Hi

I top up my virgin Mobile account £5 every month. I tried to register for VM wifi and get this message. There is £5 in it every month but then it goes down as I use it. Why isn't this sufficient to register it for this service?

Re: Why does the VM Wifi app have a min. £5 top-up limit?

Hi hissett

I'm sorry to hear about your difficulties there, are you using the Virgin Media WiFi app? Typically this does not require a top up beforehand. Can I ask what error message are you seeing specifically?

Regards.

Dave

Re: Why does the VM Wifi app have a min. £5 top-up limit?

Hi hissett

Thanks for the update; it looks like you may be on one of our older Pay As You Go SIM cards. If you could give our team a ring we should be able to change this for you. We can be contacted on 789 from any Virgin Mobile, 150 from any Virgin landline or 0345 6000 789 from any other number.

Let me know how you get on.

Dave

Will this be a higher tariff?

Hi hissett,

For a sim change your package and number will remain the same, it will just be a more up to date sim card that you will have.

Take care,

Kelly

Ok then please send me a new card. I am surprised you don't keep your customers up to date any way with the latest cards.

Hey hissett

Sorry to hear you're still experiencing difficulties here. Were our team able to get a new SIM card sent out to you?
