Why can't you speak to the complaints department

I asked to speak to the complaints department and was told I can't speak to them. Why not? Why do I have to wait 48 hrs before someone will call me back? Is this what virgin consider customer services?

Or message: Help and Support - Contact Us > Something else > Making a complaint > Email us.

I'm really sorry to hear you've had some issues with your complaint.

If you'd like to escalate your call to a manager, we'll always do our best to get a manager to speak to you there an then. If this isn't possible, we'll arrange a callback within 24-48 hours.

As you can tell from Marks reply, Virgin do not have a dedicated complaints department. They do their best to resolve over the phone and you then need to write in if still not happy.
