Why am I getting a bill a month after I cancelled my contact

Why have I just got a bill a month as after I cancelled my contact and for £6 more than what my contact price was?

Hi moi68,

 

did you allow for the 30 days when you gave notice of cancellation?
(I'm assuming you are talking about a 30 day rolling SIM only contract).
