I'm really sorry that your daughter is seeing this number on her bill. I've searched for this and can't find the number responsible. I would suggest texting STOP ALL to the number to ensure that this all sorted.
Please give this a go and let me know if you need anything at all.
700046085 is not a short code, that's why it won't work (as I said it wouldn't). 700046085 is a code you use on your bills. I need the corresponding 5-digit short code so that my daughter can send STOP ALL to that short code.
Since the money she sends to you mostly goes to the owner of 700046085 Virgin must know who it is. That is, unless you are collecting it yourselves!!
PhonepayPlus say to contact you (I think I said this before.)
However, your usually awful competitor EE in this case does better than you (Yes, I know this is almost inconceivable as EE are the worst company I have come across in 45 years in business, but it's true.) They have a webpage http://ee.co.uk/help/accounts-billing-and-topping-up/billing-and-payment/your-bill-explained/third-p... If you enter 700046085 you find the sc*mbags Veoo who specialise in providing services to even-more-sc*mbaggy premium text merchants. Veoo's 0800 number of course never works but at least plays better music than the norm. So a recourse to Google gets you a London number and a rather nice person looks it up and tells you that the end-sc*mbag are a company called "Game Nation UK" whose most recent company records claim they are not trading (hmm, funny that.)
It's also clear from looking at the "industry" - I'd call it a cesspit - that contrary to what I've been told Virgin do get rather a large cut of the premium rate charge, just as I believed.
Now frankly if I, as a newbie, can find this information it's rather a poor show that Virgin "can't", a word I usually translate as "won't".
Can I suggest that Virgin creates, or sponges off, a similar database to EE. I'm not charging my usual consultancy rates for this marketing advice.
