Voicemail woes

I have 4 numbers that I ported from vodafone in August. Since then I have been trying to set up voicemail. Call centre standard response is dial 222 and wait 24 hours ... blah... blah. I think that it must be associated with the number transfer but because it all looks fine on the VM system I'm getting fobbed of time and time again. Anyone know a fix for this?
