Virgin mobile app not compatible with Doogee 5x

I spent a long time on the phone yesterday with Virgin mobile as the app will not work on my new Doogee 5x - can anyone suggest why. I tried logging on using 3G, but no luck.

Welcome to the community and thanks for posting. Sorry to hear you're unable to use the Virgin Mobile My Account app with your DOOGEE X5.

 

I'd like to know more about this problem. Could you please answer the following questions:-

 

Has the app successfully installed on the handset?

Are you able to open it up fine?

Do you get any error message when logging on?

What version of Android do you have?

Thanks for getting back to us with those details. The app is compatible with Android 5.1.

 

Can you let me know what error message you are getting when logging in?

I just get the "oops" message telling me to turn off wifi and log in using 3G, but it doesn't connect.

Hi Juneyrose,

 

Thank you for getting back to me. Sorry that this is still not working. 

 

Please switch your WiFi off on your phone and try logging into the My Account app (you have to connect via your mobile data 3G first--once logged in then you will have an option to be able to connect via WiFi and you can choose that option then).

Thank you so much Terri, it cost me £1 of data, but heyho at least it now allows me to topup on the move.
