Virgin (and EE) mobile signal

Both Virgin (and EE) mobile signal has been poor over the last week in my area (Ellon, Aberdeenshire). Previously had good signal throughout the house, but now only poor signal outside.

Neighbours have same issue. Any suggestions?

Has the issue just been recently or has this been something that has happened for a while?

Sometimes the masts can experience issues whereby they may go down ,may need work on them etc to which this may be service affecting. Your phone may not be connecting to the mast u normally do. Have you tried switching to 2g on the handset?

Managed to speak to Virgin Customer support who gave me the same response (and that 2 masts in the area were down) and phone reception miraculously improved within a couple of hours!

Hi, I'm having the same problem - my signal has been desperately poor in Dundee, UK over the last two or three days whereas it's normally very strong.

Hi,

perhaps the reason for the reduced signal in your area is similar to that of the OP's.

If you want to find out, you could do likewise & give the Virgin mobile team a call on 789 or 0345 6000 789 informing them of the problem & see if they have anything to report.
