Virgin WiFi App SIM error

Hi there. I'm new to Virgin mobile, switched over today and all seems pretty sweet except for the Virgin wifi hotspot app! It tells me to switch off the Wifi to allow settings to be downloaded. The wheel turns around for awhile and it says "verifying" and then I keep getting an error message "Sorry. Your SIM card is not accepted please check your account"

I've tried it several different times today and in strong network areas with good 4G. It's a brand new shiny SIM from Virgin so what's the issue?

Any help greatly appreciated 👍


Iphone 7 Plus 128Gb Ram good strong 4G or 3G signal.

It does take a short time after SIM activation for Virgin Media WiFi to work. You should find either tomorrow or Saturday the setup will complete.

Thanks for the help. I can confirm that a day after switching over, the problem has rectified itself.

Perhaps a note to this likelihood with the installation instructions for the app might prevent further queries?
