Virgin SIM but shows "T-Mobile" network?

Hi,

Bought a VIrgin "SIM only" monthly plan recently and have ported my T-Mobile number on to Virgin successfully.

I am using an unlocked phone.

What is bothering me is that on the phone screen, next to the mobile signal icon it says "T-Mobile". And when I go into the phone settings -> mobile networks, it says "T-Mobile" as the preferred network. If I manually select "Virgin 2G", it still says "T-Mobile" at both the places.

Is it how it is supposed to be (since Virgin use EE network, which includes T-Mobile and Orange)? Or should I be worried?

TIA,

regards

Re: Virgin SIM but shows "T-Mobile" network?

Hi Tia,

Welcome to the forums Smiley Happy

This is nothing to be worried about! As we use the EE network, you may see Orange or T-mobile appearing as the available networks.

Is everything okay on the phone from a network point of view? Can you make calls, send texts and browse the web?

Let me know if there's anything that you need Smiley Happy

Thanks,

Mat
