VM Voice mail problems

I have Voice Mail turn off as verified in my VM mobile account settings.

I received a voice mail notification saying there is a voice mail waiting even though I have voice mail off.

Checked to hear the voice mail and it says welcome to VM voice mail or similar and it said there was VM received but I did not hear any message.

How can I stop all voice mails, if Virgin Mobile needs to contact me the can send me a text of email to may email address which they have.

Hi Walter,

so no option to leave  a message, your voicemail is off as you want Smiley Happy

The free missed call text alert is automatically turned on for all customers without Voicemail and available for anyone not calling from a withheld number.

You can if you want though, turn this service off too.

To turn the Service off - text STOP to 4567.

Hi hadenough,

Thanks for posting. Sorry to hear you continue to receive voicemail despite disabling it.

What is the make and model of handset you're using?

When you dial voicemail is it still saying Virgin Mobile voicemail?

Thanks

Samsung J5 (2016)

Problem solved now, Thanks

Re: VM Voice mail problems

You can log onto your web account and stop it from there or call 789

Your last paragraph makes no sense so I can't help there

Re: VM Voice mail problems

789 is the only option, apart from barring the voicemail number on your phone

I called 789 and spoke to Mia and she checked and confirmed that my voice is off. Mia said that her system had my voice off several years.

Re: VM Voice mail problems

Hi Walter,

have you tried calling your Virgin number from another phone when your mobile is turned off.

Does it actually give you the option to leave a voicemail?

I know I received a text and a "blank" message a couple of months ago when Virgin's Voicemail system was updated.

Could this be what you are referring to?
