I too am having these texts. They often come every day or night at odd hours - 5am this morning and yesterday at the same time and at any time during the night. Have been in touch with Virgin who are "aware of the issue" and have helpfully told me to turn the phone to vibrate at night. NOT ACCEPTABLE. My elderly mother is deaf and uses texts to communicate with me. I Cannot turn it off and hope that she doesn't need me.
There is no option to opt out of further texts which I am fairly sure must be in breach of some telecom law. I have tried Stop but it doesn't work. This is now starting to feel like harassment. Other issues today (no mobile web working and very little signal in my house even though it used to be OK ) mean that I think its time to say goodbye to Virgin. A pity but I will not buy a new phone from them if they just carry on sending me these texts.
