I have got a Sony M4 Aqua E2303
After discovering that Virgin did not support 4G I decided to move onto a different network.
Phone takes the sim, all works good, internet works.
The other day though I noticed that I never saw the 4G symbol on my phones connection.
So went to the help site of the phone.
Went to turn on 4G and I found that it was not there.
The 4G(prefereed)/WCDMA/GSM does not feature.
Now I have been in contact direct to Sony through the other network,
They want me to pay £40 in order to root the phone.
I have been advised by sony that since the phone was obtained from virgin, that they have flashed it with an image where the 4G option is disabled.
I was wondering how I can get 4G working on a different network provider with out having to pay £40 to sony.
Any help on this please?
How can I get 4g working?
try doing a google search for sony m4 aqua android development, go to the xda forum, have a look around there - you will get plenty of advice/direction to do what you want to do.
so an unsupported way to get the phone working?
prefer to wait for virgin to resolve this
