Unfair charges

Hi, my father-in-law suffers with mental illness and has inadvertently not hung up after ringing the hospital and now has a call length of 8hrs and charges of £121. Can we challenge these charges?

Re: Unfair charges

Why would having a mental illness make any difference? Are people without any disabilities not allowed to make mistakes?

Re: Unfair charges

Yes

GSM allows either party to close call so unless the hospital held call open then the call should have closed when they closed call

You can challenge see http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Forum-Archive/Ridiculously-high-single-call-charge/m-p/2001808

The way I read the post I think you are probably misinterpreting the point being made which is actually being supportive to all in this situation (sorry to butt in Goff I know you are more than capable of speaking for yourself).

Good luck with it
