Travel Pass - Purchased but no data

I have purchased the 250 mob travel pass for both mobile phones I have with virgin. They were purchased yesterday, and for info I am in ibiza. All data roaming requirements are turned on online and on the phones, I bought the passes, received the texts saying the purchase was successful, but no able to get any internet at all. The same thing happened a few years back when purchasing the same thing. I've turned the phones on and off several times tried different networks, but nothing. Can anyone suggest anything as it is absolutely doing my head in.

I would demand a refund. Throw the book at them. The partial usage is neither here nor there. The bottom line is that the data pack did not work when it was supposed to work and at the time that you needed it. It was not fit for purpose.

Hi Stephen,

 

if roaming is on in your mobile account and data roaming is also on in the settings on your device it sounds like there may be a problem with Virgin's side of things.

I'm afraid that I can only suggest giving them a call.

Hello there Terri. Thanks for the help. Unfortunately I have not managed to see your responses till now, and i am now home.

My wife's mobile data started working on the way home. Mine however did not.

As i did not use the data pack i will be looking to get the money refunded for my data pack. My wife has obviously used some of her data so wont do the same with her, although still very disappoointing service. Im assuming this is something you wont be able to help with?

Hi steviemac999,

 

you will need to call customer services on 789 from your mobile or 0345 6000 789 from any other phone to get the refund sorted.

As your data use will show the pass hasn't been used this should be straightforward.

your phone may have a switch for data roaming in the settings.
Possibly: 
Settings > More Networks > Mobile Networks > Data Roaming.
