The on hold music waiting for Mobile agent is TOO LOUD

I needed to call the mobile agent from my Virgin Mobile hand set which was connected to the Philippines call centre and I found the On Hold music was too loud and I found it painful.

Can you PLEASE have softer music and quieter?

I'm sorry that the hold music was too loud when you called us. I'm afraid I'm unable to control this from my side. I'd suggest possibly turning down the volume on the handset.

I am afraid that my hand set is not a modern smart phone and dose not have a volume control and even if it did reducing the volume would not have helped as I would not have heard the agent when she spoke.

The audio department at the hospital say that loud on hold music is one of the main causes of Tinnitus.

Now can you please advise me the department in Virgin Mobile that I need to bring the matter to their attention?

I'm afraid it's not possible for us to lower this as it's a pre recorded sequence that can't be lowered.

yes there is some thing more that you can and that is give me the contact details of the department in Virgin Mobile!

You say it is a pre recorded mess then it must be possible to reduce the volume or is Virgin Mobile happy to ignore the fact that the having

the recording at the high volume can severely be a cause of Tinnitus.

I wonder what the audiology departments will think of Virgin Mobile who seem to ignore their customers so please give me the department to bring it to their attention.

Happened to me today I had to hang up because it was far too painful and I used the chat online feature but that took ages to connect as they were busy for a long time Smiley Sad

I'm sorry to hear that you found the music to be too loud, can I ask how you made the call? (e.g. just on the handset, or using any earpieces etc?).

 

I'll certainly feed this back to our team although it's strange that not everyone has this issue! That being said, I'd like to get to the bottom of it for youMan Happy
