Temporary sim

I've left my phone in Cyprus and won't be returning there until September. Can I get a temporary SIM card using the same Tel no until I return to Cyprus ? I want it to be temporary as my original SIM contains most of my contacts and I don't want it permanently deleted.

Fortunately it's not life and death because although I have had the phone on Pay as You go I have never been able to use it where I live (Argyll) for the last 10 years because I cannot get a signal but it's handy whenever I go to Glasgow 3 or 4 times a year

Re: Temporary sim

Hi briansouthend,

you could give Virgin customer services a call on 789 from any Virgin mobile.

Or 0345 6000 789 from any other phone & request a replacement SIM card.

This would be a permanent replacement but contact information stored on your "old" SIM will still be available to you once you have access to it in September. You could then transfer the contacts onto your new SIM.

You just have to pay for postage: 99p standard or £2.99 for next day.
