Sony Xperia M5 Whatsapp and SMS issues

When my wife is typing in messages on Whatsapp or SMS it's coming up with completely indecipherable suggestions, splitting words in two and generally acting in a very strange way. Have tried restarting, clearing the keyboard cache and disabling predictive text with no luck any suggestions?

Re: Sony Xperia M5 Whatsapp and SMS issues

Predictive text is a double edged sword. It improves over time if the user is carefull and ALWAYS updates and saves the chosen option when the option differs from the offered choice.

You also have the option to edit the user dictionary adding you own commonly used word with the correct spelling.

Good luck.

Re: Sony Xperia M5 Whatsapp and SMS issues

I've turned predictive text off and it wasn't acting like predictive text normally acts anyway. It was coming out with gobbledygook, splitting words in two

and ending the whole of the sentence with an incomprehensible ending.
