Sim only to new phone.

I currently have a pay monthly sim.
Is it possible to upgrade and get a new phone and still use this sim?

Re: Sim only to new phone.

Hi Stokecity_m,

no don't cancel your current Pay Monthly SIM. Call customer services (free call 789 from your mobile) and say that you would like to apply for a handset loan keeping your same number. Stress this.

The advisor will either run through it with you or pass you to the appropriate person.

Re: Sim only to new phone.

Normally it is quite easy to transfer a SIM to a new phone. The 2 main gotchas are that the new phone must not be locked to a different network and the SIM must be the same size. If the SIM is a different size Virgin are helpful in providing a new SIM In my experience.

Make sure you know where your contacts and other data are stored/backed up, so that they can be transferred safely to the new phone.

I'd like to upgrade to a S7 though virgin but keep my current number.

Do I just cancel my current sim only contract and reorder a simple and phone deal.
