Sim Card No Service

Hi,

Please can someone help me, I've got no service showing on a new sim card.  I changed my phone to Iphone 5c which I know works with Virgin, as I tried a Virgin pay as you go sim card in it first and it was fine. So I requested a a new size of sim card with my number on, received it today and phone showing no service?  I put Virgin pay as you go in again and that is fine.  Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Sim Card No Service

Hi Innyandouty,

it sounds like your new SIM isn't activated yet.

You need to send the text READY to 789678 from your old phone & SIM.

You should receive a text back saying the request has been successful.

Your old SIM will deactivate and some time after your new SIM will become active.

(Periodically turn your new phone off and on to check for network).

Occasionally activation may take upto 24 hours.

Re: Sim Card No Service

Alex,

Thank you so much, I did what you said and thought it hadn't worked as I have always had activations done quickly in the past. However, the card has just now been activated on the new phone. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge, it's much appreciated.
