Scam Text

I was searching online to check my car MOT expiry date and used a website called www.vehicleinformation.uk they asked for my mobile number and then texted me a pin code which i entered onto the site, I then got the info but they have charged me £10 on mobile bill for a premium text, there was no mention of a charge at any time.  Text number on bill is 700074074  and on the text it is 60076.

Can I get my money back??

Re: Scam Text

Hi russell2,

clicking on the link you provided shows at the bottom right of the page:

"The Vehicle Information text reminder service costs £10 for 12 months service.

The charge will be added to your phone bill, and you can cancel at any time by texting the word 'stop' to 60076. Information supplied through the service can be obtained for free from the DVLA."

Re: Scam Text

Thanks for the reply, i did check the site this morning on my laptop and noticed the charge info, did not notice that yesterday on my mobile, and have cancelled and emailed them for a refund, I accessed this site on my mobile and maybe it was so small on that media that I didn't notice the charge info
