The screen on my Samsung S5 has stopped rotating, I've tried resetting to factory default without success.
Tried a few online help suggestions but no luck either.
Does anyone have any ideas?
You could tell us what you've tried already.
My first suggestion would be to make sure screen rotation is on - pull down the top of the screen and scroll to the right until you see the setting.
I'm sure that you will have checked this first but have to ask:
If you go to Settings > Display > the "Auto-rotate screen" box is ticked?
If you want to say thanks > click 'Kudos'.Answered your question? > click 'Mark as Helpful Answer' also.
Screen rotation is switched on, it was on when I noticed it had stopped working.
I've tried a factory data reset, taking the battery and sim card out then reinserting everything, deleting last couple of apps I've installed.
We may need to take a closer look into this for you Stef.
To do this, you would need to book the phone in for repair. Would that be something that you're willing to do?
If so, you can arrange this either by calling on 789 or 0345 6000 789 as well as booking the phone in on your online account via the Plans and Devices > Mobile Phone Repair section.
Let me know if you would be happy to do this.

OK I'll contact the repair people.
Get it to a Authorised Samsung repair centre. Unipart, who Virgin use, are not authorised and this has caused problems with members' phones in the past.
Let me know how you get on with this Stef
I'm here if you need me.
