Samsung Galaxy 7 gold colour wearing off

Hi, has anyone else had any issues with their Samsung Galaxy 7 gold. My son has been using his for about 6 weeks and all the gold colour has already worn off his home button. For the amount we are paying for it, I would expect it to last longer than that. Never had any other problems with other Samsungs we had all had.

Re: Samsung Galaxy 7 gold colour wearing off

I've tried explaining to customer services, but all I am told is that as it wasn't reported within the first 14 days there is nothing that can be done. The problem wasn't there in the fist 14 days. As the phone is still working properly they can't accept it as a fault. For the gold to wear off the home button totally on a £600 phone within 3 months is a fault in my opinion. Can Virgin offer any help with this, is it possible to replace the button?

I would by pass Virgin here as they are not doing well.
Contact Samsung directly the phone is there's set what they have to say

Re: Samsung Galaxy 7 gold colour wearing off

Hi panda67

I'm really sorry to hear about your experience.

I can understand you feel frustrated by this.

This particular issue is not likely to be considered a fault as such though and more likely to be put down to wear and tear.

This does seem like quite a short period though for the wear to happen and, as J0hn points out, you do have the option of contacting the manufacturer directly about this if you'd like them to offer a second opinion on this. Their contact details are listed here.

Let us know how you get on.

Many thanks

Re: Samsung Galaxy 7 gold colour wearing off

High that may be true, however I was being nice for a change, Virgin don't upset me every day.

They however are on their last chance, 4G by the end of the month or I'm gone
