SIM-only contract prices

I've been on a SIM-only rolling contract since November.

I notice that Virgin Mobile has recently decreased their advertised prices* but have they given me a price cut on my contract?  Nope.  Instead they've written to me to tell me my price is going up by 1.6%. #

When I visit the "change your tariff" page (which is one of the hardest pages to find within My Account) do I get the choice of any of the newly advertised tariffs?  Nope again.

Come on, Virgin, stop ripping off your existing customers.

No love,

me.

* I should point out that for my higher price I currently get unlimited minutes, but let's face it 2500 minutes is unlimited from my point of view.  I probably don't make that many calls per decade.

# BTW, using RPI for your price increases is a cheek since as far as the Government is concerned CPI is "the" rate of inflation.  Which, by the way, is currently 0.3%.

Re: SIM-only contract prices

No that's Consumer Price index. RPI was 1.3% in Feb and March 1.6% in April and has just dropped back to 1.3%

Other networks changed in March and show a 1.3% rise.
