Roaming not working

I have bought a sim only plan but roaming is not working. I get no service at all. Does anyone know if there is a time period until roaming is activated? Or is there anything virgin has to do?

Hi jcabri,

 

if you are Pay Monthly and been with Virgin Mobile for less than 3 months, you may be asked to pay a £50 deposit before Roaming can be activated on your account.

You will need to speak to customer services, if you are already abroad the number to call is: +447953 967 967.

Thanks Alex. Didn't end up having to pay the 50£ but had to call the call centre.

You can activate roaming for calls on your account, when it comes to mobile data it has to be activated centrally. Hope this helps others!
