However, I followed instructions given in response to another post . You can activate roaming via your online account. Obviously you need some sort of internet access to do this but I am now receiving my calls.
Roaming was turned on on my phone but I could make calls. I eventually got round it by logging into my virgin mobile account. Roaming was turned off there. I can't remember exactly where it was but it was difficult to find but I did eventually. I can now use my phone abroad without problem.
I'm sorry that your data roaming isn't working while you're in Malta. Has this been sorted out for you?
