Replacement SIM still not connected

I picked up a new SIM to replace a damaged one ( don't ask... ) at a  Virgin store yesterday 2pm where they transferred my number etc

9am this morning and the phone, Siemens A65 (from The Ark - I know!) still says 'Network search'

Am I being impatient?

Now over 24hrs still no network...

I called support and they said SIM had not been activated.

Has been now...and I am back on the network.
