Random Phone Issue?

Good Afternoon

 

We have 2 VM accounts - mine is perfectly OK, but my OH's has an issue, that is happening more & more of late:

 

When she tries to make a call, everything is silent - the phone displays dialling, but fails soon after. If I try to call her, I receive either a "Network Busy" message or a voice stating there is a problem with this number! A little while later, everything works fine - until it happens again!

 

I've ruled out her phone - if I swap SIMs her phone works perfectly all day.

 

Is this a problem with her number or the actual SIM card?

 

Please advise.

Hi finlux,

 

Sorry to hear your wife is experiencing issues with dropping calls.

 

It does sound like a possible SIM card issue form the checks you've already carried out.

 

Does your wife's SIM card replicate the same issues when put it in a different phone? If yes then it would definitely indicate a SIM issue.

 

You could always call 789 and speak to our Mobile team as they could always replace the SIM if needed.

Thanks anyway, but we popped in to our local VM store - and it was a SIM fault!
