Premium Rate Text Ripoff...

Like others on the forum have also recently experienced, I have also received a text form an unknown number '700046824' & was promptly charged £4.50 & then charged another 10p to send a 'STOP' text to hopefully prevent any further charges.

Cant believe that Virgin allow their customers to get ripped off in this manner, surely they can take action to try & prevent these unsolicited texts getting through to our phones.

I have always been really careful as to what I sign up for & I certainly don't recall signing up for any premium text service. I'm really annoyed at getting scammed in this way, £4.60 down the drain.

Sadly until the courts proof unlawful trading, it's against the law to restrict lawful ( in the loosest sense f the word imho) trading.

I suspect Virgin get a small slice as well
