Porting number, topped up, but unable to change tariffs

I'm having my number ported in at some point in the next 24 hours. I've topped up the SIM card but its telling me I'm unable to change my tariff at the moment, could this be because of the number porting? If not why? TIA

Hi AlisonB70,

 

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear you're unable to change your tariff.

 

You wouldn't be able to change anything while the number port is going through as it would be showing as in limbo and any changes could potentially threaten that process.

 

How are things today? Have you managed to change your tariff?
